COVID policies
To keep our kids and community safe, we are committed to the following procedures in accordance with the recommendations of the CDC and Montgomery County Public Schools for COVID prevention in child care settings, in addition to increasing safety measures where it best serves our community:
We require all staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated and boosted.
Starting December 1, 2022, we are only requiring masks for anyone unvaccinated, or who has any symptoms of illness.
We are limiting the use of shared sensory materials (rice table, sand table) until further notice.
We have air purifiers in each classroom to keep the air clean. (The Loft does NOT share a ventilation system with the salon downstairs.)
Snacks and lunch for summer camp will be held outside, and students will not be permitted to share food.
In case of illness:
If your child has any symptoms of illness, we ask that you keep them home to keep our community safe, and that you report any positive COVID test results to us immediately (lia@theloftcollective.org). If your child has seasonal allergies, or is sneezing or coughing, we may ask them to mask as a courtesy to the children around them. We provide masks for this purpose. Thank you for your care and cooperation!
